XTM Workflow enables a new approach to document and resource management in translation companies. This new module allows organizations to manage the translation process, allocate resources and track progress, helping to reduce time to market and the cost of translation.

Chose a Workflow to suit your job

XTM includes a number of predefined workflows. Each workflow starts when the Project Manager receives a translation request, and assigns a workflow and translation team to the project. XTM Engine analyses the documents, extracts the text and applies the TM. Each member of the team in the workflow receives an email to advise them when they have a pending job. They then log on and undertake the task of translation or reviewing. The final step of this workflow is when the Project Manager is advised that the translation is complete and that XTM Engine has created the target file.

Communicate easily with project members

Participation in translation projects traditionally involves many file transfers between the project members. The files for translation are often very large. XTM avoids the problems associated with file transfer by allowing these processes to be conducted on-line in a web browser. All the project members access the same document on the server and are notified when it has been moved to a new step. The workflow participants receive e-mail alerts with links to their workflow tasks.

The Project Manager has access to an up to date list of translators with their availability, languages, fields of specialization, and other essential information. The important task of distributing the various jobs in the workflow is made made much more straightforward in XTM Workflow. And the project overview ensures successful translation process management.

Make sure that your data is safe

Data security is one of the priorities for any translation company. XTM ensures that all the data involved in the translation process: files, translation memories, terminology data bases, personal information, metrics and accounting documents are kept safe. The Project Manager can decide what documents should be seen by the translators. Every person in the translation process only has access to the files that they need.
