18th December 2007 London UK - XML-INTL, leaders in XML authoring and translation tools, today announce the release of XTM v3.0.
The long anticipated third version of XTM - the XML based translation memory is now available to satisfy the needs of even the most demanding clients. Users of XTM v2.0 will be able to upgrade to this latest version and immediately benefit from the new features.
Andrzej Zydroń, XML-INTL's CTO, declared: “The translator's task has been made as easy as possible, thanks to a clean, intuitive and elegant user interface”. He also affirmed that XTM is completely based on Open Standards with an Open Architecture which allows for easy integration with other Open Standard based tools.

Other features of XTM v3.0 include built-in support for Author Memory, which is an optional authoring consistency module. Furthermore advanced linguistic and web search technology enables improved concordance and fuzzy matching. The spellchecker module has been enhanced and comes with support for 62 languages.
The new system is infinitely scalable, meaning that XTM v3.0 is suitable for small and medium companies, as well as enterprise environments. There is also no upper limit to the size of file that can be translated with XTM v3.0. and several translators can work on the same document concurrently, benefiting from the each other's translation.
In addition, there is a review mode which allows reviewers to check and add comments in parallel with translators, while changes to the translation of each text unit can be tracked and reversed.
The new XML-based system configuration provides simplified setup and customization, while XTM's fully documented APIs allow for straightforward integration with global management systems.
