GMX-V was adopted by OSCAR as an official standard for the globalization industry on February 26, 2007.
GMX-V provides a variety of statistics related to word and character
counts that can be used to precisely quantify the amount of text (of
various types) in a document. While it was designed with localization
tasks in mind, it may be used in any field where precise, standardized
quantification of text is needed. XML-INTL CTO, Andrzej Zydroń was responsible for the technical architecture of GMX-V. For more details, please visit the
GMX page on the LISA web site.
